  1. Been reading up for the last couple of days ,but i'd like confirmation that the following wheels and tyres will fit straight on a IS300 with standard supension,F,8x18 with 225/40 & R,9x18 with 255/35 both an E.T of 38,thanks in advance :)
  2. Slightly off topic :shutit: ,there are a few sealants for the leather,Gtechiq is one and they don't make the leather hard or shiny, and once the leathers treated all thats needed is a damp cloth to keep it looking good.
  3. Just fitted mine, looks great :D ,thanks to Sprinter2012 for sorting these out .
  4. You can buy a deoderizer from Halfords, you set the a/c to recirculate and set the spray going,it gets everywhere the air goes,or the cheap option, spray fabreeze or similar on the pollen filter !
  5. It can on certain cars (anyone know for the IS ?) alter the map on the ecu to actually give more power and alter the throttle pedal response on electronic throttles, plus alter the g/box reponse as has been said.
  6. That's a bonus !,a lot is said about the Lexus quality, but it's true,so as long as the owners haven't abused it,so everything should work, feel solid and the paint should be rust free, unlike the Jag i had !,good luck for tomorrow.
  7. I'd be looking for a cambelt change receipt or try to haggle the cost into the deal,i think the main thing to check is the wear on the front tyres,if it's not been set properly it'll eat the inside edge, there's plenty of posts on here about it.I've no idea on the value, but i paid 5k in February for a car the same age with 41k and full LSH (top price,i know) and according to Parkers it's worth 3k now if it had average miles,HTH.
  8. Most cars have a quick "park" bypass,it's a Jap quirk that they've given it a button !
  9. I've used mine about 3 times in 5 months,it does the job,but i prefer to stick it into "sport" mode and let the box do it's own thing.
  10. When i took mine i looked and couldn't find any mention in the h/book about changing the "dip" of the lights,so i stuck some convertors on from halfords,HTH.
  11. Not any more !,with canbus they normally take a speed pulse, that's why the sat nav is disabled as well.
  12. Have a look at the companies that supply kit car bits, you should find some suitable washer jets there,HTH.
  13. Hiya,if you look on here the two things mentioned quite a lot about the IS200 is the petrol consumption and the performance,as you want an auto,go for an IS300,petrol isn't much worse and with it goes ok !.
  14. Not so much, more Jap and don't forget the car make isn't important, the spec of the wheels is the most important.
  15. There's a set of "Buddy Club" wheels on E**y at the moment,8x19, E.T 38,a similar style to the Aero rims in silver with a polished lip, brand new for 499 !
  16. The h/unit should come with a lead that plugs in to the unit and the the car loom/adapter plugs into that,so hopefully you've still got it and Halfords didn't keep it with the adapter that didn't work !
  17. They are just glued on,but if you think the areas been painted at all be careful, because lazy painters have been known to paint around badges !! and you might get a slight shadow, but a light polish gets rid of this.
  18. If you mix up some washing up liquid and water in a cup to 50/50 and use a brush (minding not to scratch the finish) and "paint" it on the bead area including the valve if you've a leak you'll see the bubbles !,also make sure your valve caps are fitted, these protect the valve core, preventing leaks,HTH.
  19. Nope you're fine, that's the correct size for the upgraded wheels.
  20. If you look at where the wipers sit you'll see the same sort of wires as the rear heated screen, but they're quite hard to see as they're only in the black part.
  21. It's switched on with the rear screen and mirrors, and it only does where the wipers park,HTH.
  22. Blitz do a IS300 filter,about forty quid delivered from Fen Sport,HTH.
  23. It's hard to say if it's worth the retail price, like a lot of things the gap between an good wax and an expensive wax has got smaller,i'd go onto Detailing World and look at buying some sample pots and see what works for you,i use colly 845 (15 quid) on the g/f's car (only because it keeps getting bird bombs and it's cheaper to keep renewing the colly ) and that gives a lovely finish that can really lasts !,my shampoo is Zymol clear,i first used it as i got in a set,but now i keep an eye out for any deals as it's pricey as well, but any of the "good" shampoos will do,it's more important to follow the amount recommended as too much shampoo is a waste of money and could strip your wax,HTH.
