  1. As I said my road angel 2, gives me warning of "active" cameras as well as the locations, mine is not special, some cameras give no warnings eg: traffic light cams, this means no active camer inside, however this is not a licence to speed through it.... B)
  2. Some cameras flash but do not contain the camera, a road angel can detect weather a camera is present in the unit, mine sometimes makes no noise whilst going past a camera that means nothing in it.
  3. Have the sensors cleaned/ or replaced Visable soot may not be aparent :) :winky:
  4. Got my written info on the GS450h today, read the last paragraph " the boot space is now 280 was 450" this is due to the batteries, of course you can't get much if anything in there now, They make a good car and then limit the poeple who can use it :duh: , No one with a family could go anywhere but down the shops!!!!
  5. :winky: Spot on, My mates Monaro VXR, whent down from 23/24 MPG too 17, he changed those sensors and bingo back up to 27MPG on a run, so an improvement.
  6. Guys ALL cars will use more fuel in these freezing conditions, RX400h no exeption, they like all cars take more time to warm-up and the petrol engine must start earlier and stay on longer to heat the car and boost batteries, My A8TDI consumption has gone up 4MPG over this last 2 months, particularly on short trips. Roll on spring.
  7. New GS450h specs, just hit the stealers, got my phone call tonight, quick rundown, 0-60 5.9SECS, average MPG 34.9: se spec aprox 44K, se-l 47.5K, one new colour added (Blue), 18inch 5 spoke wheels standard, updated SAT-NAV. Due 19th april, thats all I can remember. :) PS) 320 BHP just found out the boot space has been REDUCED to 280 from 450 due too batteries!!!!, that killed it off for me can't get cases in there.
  8. I was told to expect 34MPG combined on the new GS300SE I bought in april05, I had to nurse it to get 27.5MPG one up, I took it back had it checked "all ok sir" so I dumped it. :duh:
  9. Sorry you encountered one of lifes ars*****s but they exist. I know a good "lexus man" bodyshop near norwich airport who will do a great job on your car, it will be as good as new, details on request. :)
  10. I left my car at the airport over the Xmas, If I had an RX400h and done that , and came back to a flat battery I would be :tsktsk: angree to say the least. :o
  11. They say it will average 25 MPG, I hope it will, I may have a go in one and see if they are as good as my A8TDI 2006 model.
  12. Ouch. Well, it used to be down to the discretion of the person in the van (when they had those speed guns). Sometimes even if you brake at the last minute it shows that you know the speed limit and admit to being over, so they waiver it. Although, I would THINK that on that speed over the limit you will be receiving a letter in the post in the next two weeks - but hopefully I am wrong. Was he parked in one of those "you don't see them until the last moment" places that they normally park in ? That drives me nuts. I take it is was definitely a speed camera van and not a tax disc van ? It was a yellow and Black zebra strip van (speed camera I think) but my road angel 2 with laser detection did NADA!!!! and yes they were on a corner. :tsktsk:
  13. Hi Guys, just gone past a "safety camera van, over the speed limit. Ba**rd was just round a corner, My road angel 2 :shutit: did not make a noise!!, did I get nicked?.
  14. Glynn My Rx is now suffering with the same type clunks. It sounds like the drive shaft under the car, but I believe this is too caused by the 'kick-down' effect from the afformentioned problems. My car has only just covered 14,000 miles, and as far as I'm concerned, any type of clunking noise after such low mileage in unacceptable. Mine is going to be booked in at the dealers early Jan 'cos I want the problem sorted. Am not prepared to listen to any type of clunking from such a new vehicle. I had an Audi 20v Quattro which was 5 years old when I bought it. I kept it for a further 5 years and put 125,000 miles on it and NEVER had any transmission or drive shaft clunks ever! Happy New Year All Regards RxMike ← Good cars AUDIs :winky:
  15. Marcus, where do you live, I ask this because this guy that paints "for lexus Norwich" is very good, if you like you may ask ipswich to use him, I can suppy address and phone no: That way you know the job will be done properly, however the wheels need a professional wheel specialist. http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk are the best by far. Hope this helps :winky:
  16. I have seen the new LS on the Tokoyo motor show review, I do fancy one. Must have a test drive new year. It will have a 4.6V8. :)
  17. "but I am realibly informed that after respray metallic silver never looks exactly the same, which is why dealers try to only touch-in if possible". This statement is total B****ks, I have had TWO yes TWO brand new LEXUSES with paint issues, First new RX300SE front wing and two doors with paint defects all had to be resprayed, I spoke to the guy who was to do it before the work was done and he said "you wont know i've been on it. I looked very very hard after and you could NOT tell, so when my NEW GS300SE got some blemishes on it, I took it back to the same guy and he again faultlessly repainted it. Thats what I would expect from lexus, a first class job, NOTHING less. :shutit: PS0 both were metalic silver.
  18. 19.5MPG Thats more like it, horrendous eh, I got shot of mine, not enough go for the buck! :yack: The laugh is I had the stealer in Norfolk on the phone to me today offering me a new LS430 saying it will average 25/27MPG locally :shutit: Needly to say............................
