  6. there's a highly technical reason for this maneesh, but i daren't explain it on here,
  7. hahaha. :D that's just quality... i've always wanted to make me a spoof of pimp my ride... :D i guess you guys beat me to it!
  8. what are those? bullet proof windows?
  9. This video will only be available for a short time... because i'm hosting it on my own server... link removed.... it's actually already hosted on nothingtoxic.com, but i can't find it... and this was sent to me via email... Thanks for the hosting link lexicon :)
  10. taken from another site... So picture the scene, you're on the track chasing an Aston in your Porsche when all of a sudden, up your inside sneaks......... THIS Suddenly your modern, sleek, uber-fast teutonic machinery doesnt seem so quick! Gutted!
  11. Yep i had one of those i bought it off Auto LED Design absdolute rubbish! so i think LED's are not the way to go. This ebay seller has the caps and also blue colured bulbs. I might get a few of each different colurs etc and experiment with the caps, witout the caps, with the blue bulbs bulbs with red caps etc!! The kit in the picture, is the kit that was installed in my car... it was designed and created by Fargo.
  12. Sorry mate, I must've misunderstood your inital post. I saw HB4 and bulb caps, put the two together and got three... sorry, lol. What I think you're after, is an LED Dash kit. Fargo will advise you more on the subject once he comes along, but in the meanwhile... i think this is what you're after > http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...mod&id=3130 :D
  13. I guess it was?! Come on you lazy lot, where were you all??? Sam... how comes you didn't come... My cousins boyfriend was eager to see it. Hopefully see a few more people turn up next month eh?! That's for sure! The Skylines were amazing... very clean... and attractive. The NSX-R is the only one in the UK...(apparently) There was another NSX there, which appeared to be heavily modified, but not a Type R. It certainly sounded power hungry, which also had a huge gathering around it as he throttled the beast!! :D
  14. A few pics from tonight... the rest can now be found at > http://img.akainternet.com/niraj/acecafe/nov2006
  15. agreed ^ it's like putting a blue filter on red light.... everything gets blocks... light transmission is reduced, and you end up with worse than what you began. The only time this coloured caps will work, is when the light being produced is white... :) Save the money and get yourself some PIAA or Phillips Bluevisions bulbs... if that's the sort of thing you're after... alternately, and better still... Halagon > Xenon HID conversion kits :D
  16. i'll be using 18mm MDF for the enclosure... 12mm for the false floor, 6mm for the side compartments and transparent perspex for the windows... The side compartments will be closed off with fiberglass and bondo... I'll give an allowance of upto 40kg i think for it all. I might be 5-10kg underestimating... but quality of design, and reliability come first. The IS200 is a slow car anyway, so i dont plan on racing it anywhere... the weight will only push the car lower to the floor, and my TTE coilovers are there to lift it back up :D
  17. Lee.... 3DSM is for the final renders ;) regrettably too many hours have been dissolved on 3DSM projects... :( Sketchup is quick and easy... and i'm loving it. As for the weight.... here's the values so far. 26kg subs 17kg amps 22kg sound deadening 18kg battery I can't imagine the install weighing more than 35kg... and a few other acessories around 5kg. 123kg total... about the weight of 1.5 - 2 men :) I knew my adjustable TTE Coilovers would come in use one day hehehe
  18. not quite to scale... so here are the dimensions. Full Floor = 31" width by 35" depth by 18" height (remember, my car is stripped and doesn't have any of the OEM Lexus trims) False Floor = 31" width x 4" height x 15" depth Enclosure = 31" width x 14"height x 10" depth (average over slants) Space between False Floor and Enclosure = 31" width x 5"depth at edges and 8" depth at centre. Side Walls = 18" height x 20" depth Side Compartments = 8" width x 18" height x 12" depth (est) These designs are only for rough representation purposes... but hopefully the end product will look similar :)
  19. Hey guys.... not trying to hi-jack this thread.... but here's what i'll be doing for mine.... The false floor will house the amps... the side compartments will house an extra battery, and other audio equipment. The carpet colour is just for demonstration... the actual finishing i'll be using will be slightly different. The flat floor between the amps and subs is still undecided, i may fiberglass a small slope to allow air flow from the face of the woofers without the wave being bounced flat faced from the side of the false floor. (if that makes sense) By the way, incase you didn't guess... the woofers i'll be using are Pioneers :winky:
  20. Microsoft Paint : lol just kidding... i used the free version of Google Sketchup... the quick and easy way for 3D designing
  21. As is the Sheilas Wheels advert.... ^ Sorry to hear of the bump Peter... from what i've heard though, Diamond are very good with their payouts... so if nothing takes effect by Thursday, your own insurance company will give the go ahead to get your car back to a showroom condition :) Hope the lass in the fiesta was okay...
