  1. Yes mate - old is gold! I've only got 2 nozzles on each side - sniff.... :(
  2. Dark_IS do you have/know anyone with a manual SLR camera? If yes you can adjust the shutter speed to about 1 second. This will get a good piccy, then you can scan it and post it. bob's your mother's brother!
  3. That's what I thought. But the company actually say that their kits don't fit the IS200 - strange.....
  4. Ah, in that case i don't think mine has. The pillars dividing the windscreen from the driver/passenger windows are just plain felt. There are airbags in the side of the two front seats. Mine was a very early 2001 model (January). Cheers Java
  5. There are a million posts about bodykits if you do a search. have a look Here
  6. Has my IS200 SE X reg 2001 go curtain airbags anyone?
  7. Do you have a special secret squirrel list of these part numbers Chris? Is it something that could be made available to Gold Members? Hold on, you probably know coz you're a Lexus dealer innit? Oops silly me........
  8. Chris, you are da man! Thank you. Sorry to keep bugging.... but i have the dark half/leather interior and the trim is a light grey colour - is that 'medium charcol'? what's all this curtain airbag stuff? Bloofire
  9. Actually I've never noticed it when the car is idling. It's easy to hear when driving down a narrow lane or through a tunnel - ie. anywhere with close high sides. Seems to magnify it. I bet, that when you get to Lexus it will stop doing it!!! Until you drive out of the garage again......!! :D
  10. Thanks Kav, if it weren't for your advice i would of ended up with an imported altezza with the same engine i got now and none of the luxuries! I'll keep you posted.
  11. Hi, only writing this reply to get my post to the top of the list again to make sure Grim or Chris Shipley see it! <_<
  12. Does it? Well it's not in the country yet apparently.... it's being imported by Bonsai Cars. Apparently will arrive on 15th May.
  13. This is really confusing. Have you have read my posts about the Altezza I went to see the other day? Well anyway it was advertised as a: Lexus Altezza IS200 Sport T with 210bhmp Beams engine, auto/tiptronic, glacier white etc... Anyway when I saw it and lifted the hood I thought: ' that's a 6 cylinder engine'. But confusion: it said Beams 2000 on the plastic engine cover. The car had an auto box, but no tiptronic on the wheel. The other give away was the redline = 6000rpm From a discussion with Kavey I decided that it must be a Jap AS200 (153bhp) 4 speed auto. However I'm still confused as the engine said Beams on it and it was very quick for an auto. The plot thickens......
  14. Thanks for that Teddy. It is a bit confusing, but I think I've now found another one that looks like the 'Real thang'! 2000 Toyota Altezza RS 200 Manual 6 speed, Silver, 10,000 miles , 4 Doors. Air Bag, Alloy Wheels, Climate Control, Immobilizer, In Car Entertainment, Safety Equipment, Traction Control System. 210 BHP, Electric Windows, Beam Tuning, CAT 1 Alarm, Immobiliser, 12 Month Warranty, Full Service. --. £12,550. It looks quite exciting!
  15. Well you never know Kavey, I might not be far behind. It looks like I've found another nice little Altezza to buy! This time a proper RS200, Year 2000, 6 speed manual!! In silver as well...! Now what was that someone said about Blitz at 350bhp.....?
  16. Sorry Matthew..... I have run out of witty inspiration..... it's monday after all.... not witty ripostes coming to mind................
  17. Very amusoid....! :P help me please......
  18. Sorry, i meant to say more than that. It was a great car especially over 6000rpm! However it's just left me more inspired to buy an Altezza for my next car with an 8000rpm redline!!! cool.
  19. I need to order a new piece of trim for the A Pillar, driver's side (the part that divides the windscreen for the drivers window - that's the A Pillar isn't it?!) Can anyone help? Thanks, Bloofire
  20. I know exactly what you mean Tony. When the window is down I can sometimes hear a very annoying squeaking/rubbing noise coming from outside the car. Despite coming up with a number of hypotheses about this, every one seems to get disproved - irritating! It seems to have gone away at the mo... but maybe coz the windows are shut coz it's raining!!! it's particularly noticable when going between 30 and 40 mph.... Puzzled....
