  1. “Everyone is talking about how to reduce car use, cut climate change emissions" :duh: Didn't hear that convo anytime in my life, apart from on the telly when I watch it. Don't do that much as it uses power and is bad for the environment :D
  2. Bottom line Boys and Girls of the LOC is the motorist is an easy target. The vast majority are law abiding with properly registered, taxed and insured vehicles. No escape. CCTV can pick up a car and in most cases get the reg as well, so your knicked! Meanwhile yob with hoodie who just mugged a granny can't be identified on CCTV. So to get the stats up and fines in we are Public Enemy #1.
  3. They usually stick all sorts of bits on with gaffer tape, glue etc so that when the motoring press get shots like these it's hard to tell what it actually looks like in the metal till they the manufacturers are ready to let us see :D Don't worry have Lex made an ugly child yet
  4. been there,, not the info i want. ← Did you download the reports or just check the free stuff. You get the last accounts filed, last return and current (directors) appointments for £3
  5. Had one the other week but not behind but in front (Golf GTI) going along a good road with few overtaking bits, me behind the Golf, behind a slowish car. Know the road and a straight coming up, down a gear, revs on 4.5K ish, clear ahead GO GO GO. T**t in GTI pulls out as i'm just coming up beside him, brakes ON. No indicator, nothing! I'm P88888ED off! So the chase is on! Anyway he nearly lost it on a left-hander and I thought grow up you are 40 something and should be setting an example!
  6. Yeh mine moans about it. But considering I also go on Honda OC for bikes and SOHC4 cos its an old Honda 4 I can see her point of view :mat:
  7. Easy first e-mail account with virgin.net in 19-canteen and it sticks in the head. Can I change mine as it's a bit boring
  8. Thank you Mr Morse. I've finally gone Gold and will be contacting the esteemed gentlemen mentioned above first for the afore mentioned bits :D
  9. Tags for each post are "nested" (inside each other), top and bottom the last one with text just above the bottom tag, next from top and next from bottom are inside with text above the lower tag for that one and so on. Till you type you bit under the whole lot. Tags are the bits with [] round Hope this helps
  10. Yeh I've done that one too wait till you see the "whites of their eyes" in the mirror then fogs on :D
  11. Thanks Mat What I wanted to know. Was thinking of an induction kit and while I got the area clear doing the manifold as well. Wanted s/c, the missus wants a new car (Audi ) but talked her into my IS instead then I could get an Altezza. But would miss the sweet sound of the six being revved so half way house is induction kit (prob off Scott) and new manifold while I make my mind up. Then if Altezza comes around can move kit over there!
  12. The most restrctive part of a standard OEM exhaust is the manifold (or header pipes in US speak), thereafter the pre cats and back box. Yes, there will be a negative effect on emissions, but tree-huggers don't tend to be petrolheads. That's up to your conscience With a simple ECU reset the engine is "told" that there is something different happening and will respond accordingly. ← On the emissions was more about when Mr MOT inserts his probe in the rear orifice of the vehicle rather than the environmental effects. If I was worried about them I would run about in a Smart not an IS that does 23 to the gallon
