  1. AFAIK the FM transmitter IS currently illegal in the UK. Another option is to use a cassette adaptor. I use one for my iPod which sounds brilliant on the lexus sound system.
  2. Had an SE Auto Nav for two years and drove a sport a few times when the SE was in for a service. What i noticed is that unless your pretty good with the gears (and I'm not), I found my auto went just as fast with foot flat to the floor and the PWR button on. I chose an auto because I do a lot of motorway miles and wanted to kick back and cruise; and yes i did use the cruise control an awful lot. Now I've got an IS300 which is the best of both worlds, although I'm finding I'm using the steptronic less and less. Now it's the same as before but a lot quicker - PWR button on, foot flat to the floor and adjust big grin in rear view mirror. BTW I picked up a one year Sat Nav IS300 for less than a brand new IS200 SE, something to consider.
  3. Hi, I'm Scott. Married with three girls, 10 (going on 14), 6 (going on 13) and 3.9 (total fruit loop). Almost 40, so time to do a bit of clocking Fingers in lots of pies, mostly software related. Joint owner of three software companies. Currently living off earnings from Sony in Basingstoke, whilst trying to make money from all you nice people with flash mobile phones :winky: Written some games for various Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones, if anyone would like a freebie then drop me a mail. Just got rid of an IS200 SE Nav. Loved it too bits but needed more power, so i've traded up to a lovely Granite Sky IS300 with Sat Nav. Very pleased. only mod is a Sports grille. Not sure I've got time for mods at the moment, I'll just hang fire until the new IS in 2005 and roll a whole bunch up together, although I'm interested in dabbling with the stearo/sat nav. I'd love to hook my iPod up to the stereo and have the track names etc come out on the Nav screen, and use the Nav controls for controlling the ipod. that would be cool. No idea where to start. My electrical prowess is on par with that of a fish on a skateboard on a very steep hill with a sharp bend at the bottom, although the fish can probably wield a soldering iron without a strong smell of burning plastic/flesh. Interests include gadgets, gym and karate (beginner).
  4. Congrats! Getting my IS300 on the 13th and I also have a plater to transfer as well. Spooky!

    wheels

Spoke to my dealer yesterday. 5 new wheels are now on order and will be swapped out under warrenty . The new wheels are supposed to have "fixed" the problem with the pitting.
  6. Software consultant - Java/C++ etc Currently contracting for Sony in Basingstoke.
  7. Paint chips on bonnet, boot lid and driver's door. Boot lid chip was rusting.
  8. typed "is200 review" into google and the rest is history :)
  9. Anyone know for sure if the IS is galvanised? I guess it can't be (maybe partial), otherwise we wouldn't be seeing rust :(
  10. Hi Administrator! I'm in Verwood (near Ringwood), which part of sunny Dorset are you from?
  11. I've had my IS200 for just under two weeks and have also found a rusting stone chip on the edge of the boot lid. I've spoken with Lexus Dorset who immediately agreed to rectify it. I have to say I was bit alarmed to seem some rust on a one year old, having come from a BM which never rusted anywhere :(
