  1. The genuine TRD grille on my Sportcross doesn't have a Lexus 'L' and the TRD logo is totally different to that one - is the seller telling porkies or are there different ones available?
  2. Tried the local carpet shop, but it was staffed by a teengage monkey who 'hadn't ever heard of carpet being glued down' :eerrrmm: So that's why I asked here! And a spade sounds like just the job - wouldn't have crossed my mind at all - cheers fellas :)
  3. Ooh yeah, it just I've ripped off the only bits that weren't glued down Now there is nothing left to get a grip on. Wondered if there was some nasty solvent that would dissolve the adhesive? It's well soaked into the concrete floor beneath y'see.
  4. Have tried that, and ended up ripping the edge off the carpet and falling over...
  5. The number is unobtainable mate ← Most definitely in the bin then
  6. Have you rung the number to find out if it's from BT?
  7. Yes would be interested to check out the website. ← Doh - big bro is on holiday at the moment, but have sent him an email so will get back to you as soon as I find out
  8. Am currently renovating an old shop to use as a gallery, and thought I'd whip up the old carpet before I get Amtico installed. Unfortunately it has been glued onto the concrete floor, and just won't budge :tsktsk: Any ideas how to remove it, or could the Amtico installers lay plywood or something on top of it?
  9. My dad and two of my brothers all live in or around Croydon, which has awful hard water. They've all got plumbed in water softeners, and the difference in quality is amazing! No scale in the kettle (or boiler or dishwasher), no scum in black tea, water tastes great and you hardly need any bubble bath! It's also great if you have exzcema or psoriasis - much kinder on the skin. You'll get an non softened tap fitted at the same time, as you can't water the garden, feed babies or anyone with a heart condition with softened water though. Don't buy your salt blocks from the installers though - you can get it much cheaper online. I'll find out the website if you are interested squire.
  10. Probably a silly question, but does it sound any different? I mean do you still get the V6 growl (as much as the Lexus sound proofing will let you hear) with LPG?
  11. Second one is certainly a copy. I got my genuine ones from REMBLEM_COM too :)
  12. Have sold 1449 items and bought 489 items in 4 years - oops
  13. I meant you hadn't provided a solution by PM, not that you hadn't replied to me! Just wish you'd told me it wouldn't fit my Sportcross, if you already knew - would have saved a lot of extra expense and hassle :( Didn't name you as I thought it fair to give you another chance to reply, and you have - cheers :) I've just managed to find a possible suitable extension tip here... Bomber Tailpipe ...which is a bolt on and cheaper than that Milltek one, but cheers Steve. Will let you know how I get on with it, and if I have no luck will be in touch Mr Prolex.
  14. Thanks for those pics Aido! That looks much more like it. I'm not after an online slanging match as there seem to have been too may of those of late, just a solution. (Don't really see how it is the fitter's fault as they fitted the exhaust I supplied, and then adjusted it for free.) Hopefully the supplier of the exhaust will come up with a suggestion after seeing this thread, as PMing them hasn't worked yet. :( All I want now is a bolt on 115m diameter stainless tip extension that will extend the exhaust to the correct length for my car, and won't stop me fitting the baffle later. Heeeeeeeeeelp!
  15. Pics taken on my phone when it was up on the lift this morning... ...as you can see it really is much too short
  16. Oh knickers - bought an IS300 exhaust, that according to the manufacturers would fit my Sportcross just fine. Sounds amazing, no motorway drone, and comes with a removal baffle if it get's too loud for the wife :D Had it fitted yesterday, drove home and noticed this... ...emailled the photos to the manufacturer, who said they had never had that problem before and suggested I had the exhaust hangers adjusted, so went back the exhaust centre today, where they did there best, but it's just not long enough. I estimate it's about an inch too short to get past my Sportcross rear valance. They jacked it back up on the lift again, thinking they'd be able to maybe cut the exhaust and insert a steel section to push the end out to the correct place, but the rear suspension arm gets in the way. Don't want one of those max powery exhaust shields, and am struggling to find a clamp on stainless trim that will fit on the rather excessive diameter of 115mm Really don't want to melt anymore of my car, and love the sound of the exhaust so don't want to return it either. Any ideas fellas? Does anyone know a company that could manufacture me a bolt on trim in the next few days?
  17. Thanks guys - will pass the info back to him and try and get the price adjusted accordingly :)
  18. That is good news - thanks for the info Mr Tomas :)
  19. I'm getting a vintage American cigarette vending machine from a fella in the US for my gallery, which has been adapted to sell small items of original art... ...thing is the bloke sending it to me hasn't sent one outside of the USA before, and isn't sure of the procedure once it's left foreign shores. I've got to collect it from Southampton docks when it arrives - anyone know what the deal will be with customs? And will I have to pay duty other than VAT, as it will be shipped as a piece of art? Ta!
  20. Thanks Mr Tomas, that's good news - did you have to jack the car up to do that?
