  1. Thanks for the link Mikeyv. I can only assume the cheif of design at Allard Cars was blind, there can be no other explanation how so many ugly cars came from just one manufactuer. Mike.
  2. A bloke at tech in the late sixties had a big soft top Allard complete with dicky seat, they were banger money back then, and not that rare a sight on the roads. There was a thread on pistonheads about the Lexus abomination back in 2007, there's a pic of a different car about 13 posts in. http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=478251 This looks like the car the lad at tech had, it looked slightly better with the hood down, but not a lot!
  3. If you put Allard into Google image there are plenty on there with a face only a mother could love. One or two are OK but the large majority are pants. Mike
  4. Oh wow - if this is the finished product than Allard is utter crap. Nothing on that front end fits properly. YUCK indeed. I wonder what it goes for though.....
  5. interesting addition to description on ebay for anyone interested. Please be sure this is not an Allard car, it's registered as a Lexus LS400 and simply has had an Allard conversion applied to the bodywork and some interior alterations.
  6. K817EUV is now for sale on eBay, apparently now owned by Allard Motorsport. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Allard-Lexus-LS400-Prototype-restored-by-Allard-Motor-Sport-/201233400178
  7. What five would you pick from following countries...? Here's mine, sadly only a HUGE lottery win would bag some of Them! Toyota gt2000 Lexus lfa Subaru svx twin turbo America Auburn boat tail speedster Duesenberg walker coupe from 30s Mercer raceabout/speedster Tucker V16 Cadillac from 30s And wee cheat... Rest of world Tatra t87 Pegaso supercar from 50s Spain Volvo pv544 Saab 92 Tatra 603 Obviously all these are changeable at any time but are my favourites for now...
  8. It is basically as far as I can tell and have found out from Lloyd Allard son of Alan Allard (retired) who was the director of the company that designed it. That there was 3 built, one unfortunately was written off in an accident. Here is as much of the story of it I can find online http://www.mulsannes...rdj2xstory.html It is a Lexus 400LS. As the V5 document states. I got the car from my father in law who I believe purchased it from the designer. It has done 132000 miles
  9. I like the colour of this - never heard of the Allard association with Lexus before. Has it done many miles? Can you give us a brief on the spec: engine size/type etc. Literally one in a million.
  10. While every effort is made to keep this listing current, camera enforcement may take place at other locations and mobile cameras may be used to support fixed sites. Enforcement may also be carried out where road works are being undertaken - so this should not be assumed to be an exhaustive listing. Levels of camera enforcement activity vary from location to location. Fixed sites: cameras are in operation continuously or from time to time. Mobile Sites: - Locations or stretches of road at which mobile camera equipment is deployed from time to time. Red light sites: - Traffic lights at which cameras operate continuously or from time to time. Exceptional discretion sites: Police authorities have the statutory discretion, in carrying out their law enforcement responsibilities, to operate safety cameras exceptionally at other sites, not identified in advance, including sites where there is local resident concern about speeding. Please note the speed limits shown are the maximum speed for cars. Please see the Highway Code for speed limits for other vehicles. The speed limits shown on the web site may be subject to change such as temporary changes due to road works and Motorists are advised to obey the speed limits signs that are posted on the road they are travelling on. ====================================================== WEST MIDLANDS MEMBERS : ====================================================== Aldridge - Walsall Road Speed camera sited facing westbound, that is towards Walsall and away from Aldridge.
