Double Din Facia Kit & Wirring Adapters

Recommended Posts

I have a 1995 GS300 and i have finally decided to change the stereo after the factory unit stopped working several months ago.

Does anyone have any advice on what cable adapters i will needand where to source them, also facia unit. every one ive tried so far only stock for the Mk2 (1998+) not for the Mk1 (1995).

many thanks

There was a thread on here a couple of days ago in the GS300 section. The ones shown were authentic Toyota for the Aristo I believe. They look great.

As for the cables, best person to tell you is Tigerfish.

Ive not seen any aftermarket double din kits for a right hand drive mk1 GS300, all of the autolead type ones have always been lft hand drive. Toyota do one for the aristo, there are some part numbers in my signature link for the "mk1 Single Din Install". I made my own bracket, but I suspect there is a Toyota item. The tricky bit is knowing what to order 'cos the parts diagrams are pants. When I did my install, I couldn't fins any adaptors, and as I had no plans to revert to factory headunit, I just cut the connectors and fitted ISO plugs to the factory harness (So I could connect the parrot handsfree kit in as well). I bypassed the amp in the boot so that I didn't need to run new wires to all the speakers.

Oops My bad. It was on an Aristo forum I saw the fascia. Not sure if I can post a link to another site so have copied it in its entirety.

You need to work out what brackets you need, one is for single, the other for double DIN

All I need now is double din face plate

Just go to your local Toyota dealer mate, the part numbers for the double din fascia are posted further back in this thread.
