Rust On My Is 200

Recommended Posts

Very true, 12 years on British salted roads!

I would imagine there is a nice mud build up between that wing edge and bumper.

Mine's only been in the UK for 6 years the previous 12 were spent in the kinder Japanese environment.

A bit of preventative maintainance helps, a yearly under arch and under floor jet wash and then reapply some decent rust preventative treatment.

Run your fingers behind the rear wheel arch edges and see how much crud there is around there.

This is mine at 18 years old.

Hi again, so I removed both arch's corner's protection and i saw the realy big rust, there are holes on both car arch's on the corners.

I realy don't know what to do, to boil both sides or to secure with dinitrol or something....

Looks bad, has it spent most of its life near the coast by any chance?

It's not structural but needs sorting before it spreads and becomes so.

Get some decent rust tratment and waxoil in there and perhaps a few coats of hammerite.

Car spent all life in Lithuania (Lithuania is near Russia)

The winter in Lithuania is cold and with a lot of snow, but the worst thing, that the salt is poured down the street

and it killing car's with rust....

So you think, it's possible to repair arch without welding?

I think thats too far gone for a rust eater mate it needs welding i think, my son had an imprezza and his was not as bad as this but still had to be welded .Once youve done it cover it in underbody sealant i did all mine and it is a good preventative . Dont waste money on rust eater or similar
