Is200 Using Water

Recommended Posts

Hi have noticed that my Lexus is using water. So checked oil to see if water was in it and vice versa. There is no water in oil or oil in the water as usual with a head gasket going. Is there any other things that could explain the use of water or could it only be the head gasket. Any help would be much appreciated

Could also be a seeping water pump, a fault pressure cap and also check the front footwell carpets in case the heater matrix is leaking.

Is the temperature gauge holding in the middle/normal position?

Yeah temp gauge sits at the middle as normal. Don't mean to sound daft as haven't owned this long where would I check to see the pressure cap and water pump to check.
