New Tyres

Hiya one and all, been busy at new job so not had much time to browse and do my stuff.

Decided to treat the old girl to some new rubber after a puncture, it was too close to the sidewall for repair.

Got 4 Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance from Black circles, delivered to local garage and fitted.

Kept the best tyre on the car back for the spare, just in case.

The drive is totally different from the mixture I had before, and very little noise.

I have reset the B trip meter so I can get an idea of the wear vs miles done.

Out of interest, what's the standard size for the LS430?

I'm umming and arring about the whole wheels/tyres choice at the moment (Mk4 LS400).

Standard size is 225-55-17

I went for 225-55-R17 W 101

Cost each should be £130 but I got a deal for all 4 at £450 fitted instead of £520

Having just had a full new set of Falkens fitted, I was amazed at difference in road noise.

Tells me that running a mix of tyres is not good for the LS range.

Like you am going to track wear from new just to see what I am getting, rather than guessing.

Also to get the tracking checked every six months or so.

Will be going back for free 1000 mile tracking check in two weeks
