Nisshoku Alloy Wheel Reconditioning

Recommended Posts

Ok, so it was inevitable! This morning I managed to scuff the front and rear passenger side alloys on my FSport avoiding an errant lorry driver. They look terrible (see attached). I popped in to a wheel refurb shop in town to see how much it would be to recondition them and the chap said that he wouldn’t be able to match the finish on the wheels, in fact he said it was a finish he had never seen before. Has anyone else tried to recondition their wheels yet and come across the same problem? Just for clarity I opted for the Nisshoku 18” wheels and not the standard FSport wheels. post-53714-0-89704300-1438722258_thumb.j

Nice scuff! Looks almost like mine lol!

You'd have to get all 4 done mate if you want them all the same. Otherwise, get 2 done on the same side.

The standard f sport ones are difficult to match although some dealers have got the hang of it now. However, yours are a whole different ball game. Basically you have 2 paints on one wheel which give the black chrome effect.

You could opt to leave them be, let the front wheel get dirty and it'll blend in. I've just left mine and the wheels have been fine over 3 years. With those wheels I'd wait till you get some damage on the others and do all of them when they get really really bad

The sound of the rim on a concrete kerb and the slow walk around knowing the rims are damaged before you even see them, for everything else there's American Express.

You have my sympathies.
