You can get in with the mechanical key - remove lock cover and key from fob. I assume you've done that if it's now unlocked. You can lock it mechanically too.

Does it detect the key once you're in, and start normally? Or will it start with the fob held against the start button?

Or is it just the central locking which isn't working?

Was saying key not detected when held upto start button. Finally started moved car roughly 4 feet and all working fine.

I have always parked the car in same place. I park off street away from house as i live off a walkway.

Brotherinlaw owns a Avensis, if i have his key i cannot get in my car no matter what. But his car works fine. Maybe the damp weather but a strange one.

Sometime back had same problem on my road move car further down Road all fine it's caused by electric interference as smart keys use radio waves try parking different place or if you put key with ur mobile phone can also cause it

Yes a strange one fob is on its own. I know nissans nats systems dont like a lot of keys on the fob. My inside light was not flashing inside

the car, just lit on. Thought maybe car Battery on way out, as these cause all kinds of knightmares nowadays.
