Is300h f sport colours

Recommended Posts

I'm looking to buy a used is300h f sport  and after some helpful advice on here from established members I've found a few that interest me.

One of them is described as Azure blue. All the other blue versions are described as Ultra blue. Can anyone tell me what the difference is or are they in fact the same colour?

many thanks.

Different colours. Azure blue is the new blue with 4 layers. It has a silver layer in between and is slightly lighter in bright light.

Ultra blue is the original blue with 3 layers. It's somewhat darker and has a purpleish hue in dim lighting

Thanks for the reply. So I presume this azure blue would only be on a newer IS rather than a 63 plate?

Yes, the Ultra blue is only on 2013-2015 cars. The switchover was in September 2015 so the 65 plate cars will be Azure blue unless they're late registered ones.
