Hi, 

im new to this community.

ive been looking for a new car for a while and IS is my chosen vehicle. 

Just need to read a bit to chose the right one for me. Thinking about 300h but only commute 8 miles start stop to work with occasional weekend trips out. Approximately 7k miles pa. 

Not sure if the 300h is the right choice for me......

looking at spending up to 18k.

Thoughts?

Hello and a warm welcome to the lexus forum. 

The lexus IS a superb car. I'm on my second one and absolutely love it. I have the IS250 auto and it's just so smooth and comfy and lots of lovely V6 power when needed.

I think if I had 18k to spend on a new one i would seriously consider the IS 200T.

Even with the short commute, I don't see why the 300h shouldn't be for you.  They are great cars, and despite your short commute, 7k per year is still a reasonable amount of driving.

Having a quick browse on the Lexus website, £18k should give you lots of choice.  Any particular requirements?
