SmilerUK 1 Posted October 20, 2018 One propshaft with a U joint at each end. The bearings don't have any play in them and they turn evenly. This might be a daft question, but how should they feel? Should they run smoothly or should they feel clicky? By clicky I mean there's a consistent feel of notching every 5 deg or so on all four axis. Click click click regularly across all ranges of movement. If it was just in one place or on one move, then I'd say the joint or the bearing is damaged but this isn't something I have encountered before.

Prop shaft joints should articulate freely without any notch y feeling to them. A point often overlooked is that there should be no side play across a universal joint as this will cause an out of balance effect. John.
SmilerUK 1 Posted October 22, 2018 Thanks. I think I was clutching at a straw of hope there. Ah well. Time to source a fix 🙄
