IS300h (2014) rear seat removal

Recommended Posts

I need to remove the rear back rests in my IS300h to give enough clearance (40cm) to fit a cupboard in  through the boot for transportation. I don't need to remove the seat itself (unless that is necessary first). There are lots of instructions on other models but I cannot find anything for the IS300h. Any help/photos welcome.

Hello and welcome to the LOC.

The seat base needs to be removed first, there are 2 self locking clips at the front edge one on each side midwa6 between the transmission tunnel and door. Get you fingers under the seat base and tug sharply upwards to release.

The bolts for the seat back are at the bottom as shown in the picture, remove them and then lift the seat back up to disengage the top hooks.
