Adhesive for rear screen bottom trim LS400

Hi .

I dont know what adhesive or sealant to use to attach trim to the body? I mean the black trim that sits between the rear screen and  boot lid  , it has around 6 fixings and they put a smear of some sort of adhesive the hold the wing shaped plastic down.

Any ideas?

There are a multitude of different sealant you could use any sealant you apply may have to come off again should you need to replace the windscreen .

Sikaflex make a marine grade black sealant that is waterproof and is under a tenner Reference ; Sikaflex 291i .

The end wings on that trim have metal sandwiched in the plastic so can be reshaped to lie flatter. Double sticky sided tape or those foam  “Prit Pads” can also be used to stick it down.
