Brake Squelch

Just pulled into my car park and as I came to a stop I noticed an odd sound from my brake pedal.... I turned the radio up and pressed it a few more times, and there's a squelching noise coming from the pedal!

My car is going back in on Friday for a new water pump… so I’ll mention it then… but has anyone else had this or any ideas….? It’s a IS200 Sport X Reg.

Cheers

I have I have, me me me

Took me a while to get it sorted, as they initially told me its normal as its like a pump/bilge pump type noise and they said that its just the servo etc etc.

Then went in for about the 5 time and a mechy took a look, said it could be some air in system and will put new fluid in and re-bleed. All cured. Brakes now firm too.

If they just re-bleed though it didn't cure mine, ah that was it - he said that some water could have made its way into the fluid or something.

Get new fluid in it - if its still in warrenty, they will do it for free. If not its worth the new fluid change cost.

It was a bit like when the car is off and you first pump the pedal.
