CT200h 10 years old - both manual keys not working - ideas?

My 12 volt Battery has suddenly gone flat/discharged. Car is locked and thus key fob won't work. Tried the manual key which turns OK but won't unlock the door.

Does anyone know what might be causing this or know of any solution.

Thanks,

Tim Wheeler.

After 2 days of trying I spoke to a Lexus mechanic at Lexus Glasgow. He suspects that the lock has never been used in 10 years and that it may have rusted locked. Had I used WD40? Stupidly I had not!. Left WD40 sprayed into lock and door handle overnight. Using pliers I manged to free the lock. Thank God.

Hi Thomas, welcome to the LOC, apologies that I’ve only just seen your post and you have managed to sort the lock problem.

That’s the problem we tend to only use remote locking and the days when locks were lubricated during a service seem to be long gone.
