2012 rx450h engine sounds rough on idle - is this normal?

Hi there

 

I have a 2012 RX450h - around 100,000 miles. Its new to me. The engine sounds rough when first started for maybe a minute before settling. This is after a cold start. There is also a intermittent knocking / creaking that happens after a cold start. I have had a rx400h before and the engine sounded smoother after a cold start. Would anyone be willing to post a video of their RX after a cold start so I can compare the sound?

Likely injector issue.

Sound like issue I had.  2016 F Sport .   Just picked it up after a service and told that high pressure fuel pump had been replaced along with injector 1.    They say it solved the issue, and as i have only picked it up the morning, fingers crossed.

Thanks for the reply. I am wondering if I should ask them to replace all injectors. I had mine under warranty, so they would only do the faulty items.  

If you can convince them to do them all, that may be better, but be careful if you are paying rather than warranty work.
