Heko Wind Deflector Question

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about getting a set of Heko wind deflectors. Has anyone tried these and have any experience of whether they make much noise, or potentially bugger up the rubber trim with the fixing clips?

Thanks.

I have window deflectors on my gs3300h they were already installed when i bought the car (poassibly lexus own make). I am not sure what they actually do. I never drive with the window open only a small way. I think they create wind noise at motorway speeds. I havent worked out a way to remove them yet as i cant work out how they are attached. the dealer has offered to take money from me to work out how they can be removed!.

This video might help a little and confirms @Bluemarlin comment that they use automotive double sided tape for attachment.

If it the same Sanoj Double sided acrylic tape  https://www.sanojtape.com/ as shown in the video be warned it is extremely sticky and very secure

Evening Bill

Tried Heko in the past on other makes and (IMO) do not waste your time, yes they are cheap but for a reason.

OE is the way to go (silly price though) and mine make no noise & allow you to open the window a “little” without rain coming in.

Mine was fitted with a bonnet wind deflector genuine Lexus part), slightly different from the side window deflectors, but no noticeable noise when fitted. I’ve removed it though as whilst purposeful, my wife doesn’t like the loom of it!! So will put it up for sale soon.

Perspex goes cloudy after a while reducing visibility. Why would you want window an inch open? Is your AC broken?

No, a/c is fine, but someone has stolen my ashtray 😀
