Hi Any information re lexus gs 300 2005/2006 models about oil consumption/carbon build up/piston problems?  Thinking of buying 2006 model with 70,000plus miles.   Mal

Would be best to ask in GS forum, however carbon build-up isn't really as big issue in UK as it is in US, secondly oil consumption/piston problems are not mileage related, it is maintenance related. You can buy car with 200k miles and good maintenance record and it will be fine for another 200k... or you can buy car with 70k miles which only had 3 random services and have a lot of problems. As such when buying Lexus, key is not the mileage, key is to check that car was regularly and properly serviced.
