So my TPMS warning light came on the other day asking me to get it looked at by a dealer. Same thing happened about 1 year ago, had 4 TPMS batteries replaced (all, bar the spare) and all was well. This time it wasn't reporting any pressures, so I held in the reset light under the dash and it read pressures for all tyres except for the spare. After 30mins of driving (ish) the error light came back on.Friend of mine took the wheel away, used a checker and sure enough, Battery dead. He replaced the Battery and the wheel it back in the boot.

I have pressed the reset light, the dash says TPMS resetting....and then the error just comes straight back. Any thoughts as to why it won't go away? Does it need resetting with a diagnostics thing?

Cheers.

That's interesting, thanks!

The car was taken to the garage and they were a bit stumped initially because their machine was showing all 5 wheels reporting pressures, temperatures etc but the car was still throwing a fault. They connected the OBD reader to it and the fault cleared itself. It was as if the reader told the car the pressures and the car was like "oh yeah, it's OK!" and it's been fine ever since.

Many thanks.
