likewise - i am totally speechless.... This retrofit speedo cluster is yet another thing that was 'impossible' to crack and you've only gone and done it :notworthy:

As for AFS - don't care about the swivel left and right, I just don't like the idea of my headlights not going up and down when I start the car or autolevelling if I have a fat friend in the back 😄

Might be possible to mod the 4IS design lights, since someone managed to do it on the 3IS VLAN design:

The VLANDS and HC motions do have the servos in them to adjust the beam height using the manual switch adjuster. This can easily be adapted to work with the automatic level sensor. The level sensor system works on the basis that the height sensor on each front wheel is essentially a variable resistor that measures from 0 to 45 degrees of movement in car height. And depending on what angle the height sensor is at, it creates a voltage between 0 and 4.5V. This voltage is then translated into the value that the servo needs to adjust the height for the motor. The ones I got do not appear to have any servos in them, but if it annoys me I can easily fit an external motor connector to the adjustment cog to do the same thing. But as it stands my beams are aim correctly and they do not dazzle anyone. I tested it with full load and no load, the beams are actually somewhat dipped lower but the throw is still very good and the brightness of the pure white LED's is amazing.

Great build so far btw,

just curious if I was to get VLAND's how would I go about getting the auto levelling to work. I saw that video of that convertible but it looked like they replaced the motor??

Also ive got the radar cruise on my car which I don't want to lose so I can't pull the AFS Fuse??

As far as I know the vlands don’t have any levelling motors. I could be wrong as I don’t have vlands so can’t be 100%. It’s all adjusted with mechanical cogs. Regarding the AFS, don’t pull the fuse but instead just disable the LED in the cluster. It’s so easy to do and you’re not disabling other features by pulling out the fuse

Sorry if this is a dumb question, how do you disable the LED? would it be done via the OBD port?

No you need to remove the cluster and blank out the LED for AFS.
