Windscreen washer bottle on 450h+

Recommended Posts

Quite surprised that my windscreen washers froze recently. Initially, I blamed myself for not filling the w/washer tank with a screen wash and water mix. But when I went to remedy that and found that as I poured the mixture it leaked out from under the car. So my question is: is there an overfill  / spill-off tucked away down there[which is out of sight] which prevents the overfilling of the w/washer tank? I actually expected to fill it right up to the very top. Perhaps mine w/washer tank  has split due to the recent cold weather?

My right windscreen washer stopped working a few months ago. Took it to the dealer and they said that the Y-shaped splitter valve had failed.

They ordered the part and it took 10 minutes to fit. Shame that the two visits meant over 100 miles of travel for me to and from the dealer.

No it's not, it was an excellent opportunity to enjoy driving a marvel of modern engineering.
