Reverse parking sensors and camera issue

Hello,

I just got 2019 CT200H, equpipped with reverse parking camera and 4 usual sensors on the rear bumper. The issue is that when am I reversing camera works as it should, but there is zero audio/visual reference from the sensors... There is no P/off switch on the dashboard. But sensors are physicallly connected to the harnesses... And there is printed user manual for sensors attached to documentation from the manufacturer.

I see two options:

1. Something is faulty.

2. Hardware is installed (apart of dashboard P off switch ?) and not enabled in software ?

Any advice please ?

Sebastian

I've just seen this, and the CT I'm getting does not have a reversing camera, is the wiring there and is it just a question of fitting a camera and updating software or is there a bit more to it.

A wise guy in a car company once said: Why shall we make different wiring for various models? A few cables more or less when installing cost nothing and will make assembly easier as all will be the same, so all cables were installed.

Later a wise guy in a car company said: Why shall we put in cables that are not to be used in some models, let us spare these, so different cables were installed.

How it is in the CT?

I do not know.

Wise guys in BMW & Audi said why don’t we install options but shut them off if the initial purchaser doesn’t want them and then we can charge the second owners to turn them on and pay subscriptions.
Apparently fleet purchasers don’t want to pay for options so BMW & Audi realise this and so you can pay for over the air subscriptions that open up the options - things like heated seats, heated steering wheel, M suspension, Driving Assist, High Beam Assist, safety cameras in Nav etc

Only Audi & BMW?

I have been selling sticks to xxxxxxx and other companies to have cruise control in the cars. Everything else was ready and functioning, just needed the switch.
