Best places for spares?

Hi, I need to replace or repair my master brake cylinder on my 2003 IS200. I can't find anywhere that can supply anything. Do you guys have any suggestions of places you source reliable spares? I've tried europarts, autodoc,GSF and others, including so called brake specialists with no luck.

Bought a used one and that seems worse than the original.

Any help would be much appreciated.

According to Lexus Parts Direct (who want over £400 for one), the part number is 47201-53170

Searching for that part number in Autodoc just comes up with a bunch of fake results for other cars, as far as I can see...

Amayama.com have the part listed and for sale at about half the price (plus shipping from Japan & probably import duty).

They also have an Exploded Diagram with all the individual parts that make up the master cylinder, if you can identify exactly what needs replacing on your existing one.

Just seems crazy that bits are so hard to get a hold of, it's not like it's that rare a beast yet. Ideally a repair kit would be best from a cheapness perspective but there's nothing out there. Thanks for the reply though, much appreciated.

The rebuild kit part number is 04493-53040. You will need to speak to your dealer to see if it is still available, otherwise import from US/Japan.

The lack of parts availability is partly due to the fact that the series I IS wasn't a big seller in Europe (most sales just in the UK) so the third party component manufacturers didn't tool up, especially as it is a part which isn't shared with other Toyota models.
