Emergency exit for passengers

Recommended Posts

I guess this may look or read bad but having tried to find it with the user manual can anyone  explain,  How can a passenger(s) exit the vehicle in an emergency if the drive is unable to:  move the gear selector to P or use the unlock button on the drivers side. I have tried double pulling the door opener whilst the car is in Drive but not moving held by the brake.  Is there a method to open the doors in this situation ????

Very good point actually.

Just after getting the car we had difficulty getting out (due to settings) but are now able to exit, assuming car is in P etc..

I will try a few things too.

There are different settings for automatic unlocking.

One is it automatically unlocks all doors when a car is in park. The other only unlocks the passenger door if a driver’s door is opened first.

So it depends how paranoid (security conscious) you are. We eventually set it to open on park, as it was a bit confusing for a passenger not to be able to open a door.
