Screen goes blank for a few seconds

I had driven about 500 yards when my main navigation screen suddenly went blank and the radio stopped.  The screen started up again after about 5 seconds, starting from scratch (i.e.when you first turn the ignition on).  And the radio came back on.  It has only happened the once so far.  Anybody else experience this ?  An ideas why ?  September 2023 ES 300h

It sounds like it rebooted.

Given the car is new and therefore under warranty I would see if it does it again then bring it to the attention of your dealer at the next service or sooner if it continues.

I had exactly the same experience when the car was around 20k and only happened once, did another 35k and didn't happen again. Maybe it was a random glitch...

Best to flag it with the dealership as soon as possible.

Mine is a 2020 built Premium Pack and the screen started glitching in summer. Lexus had to replace the screen and two other parts (which cost Lexus close to £8000) under warranty.

Happy to report that it was a no fuss service from the dealership and Lexus but best to flag any such glitches as soon as possible.

Mine isn’t going blank, but when I turn off the car it does flash very brightly, almost like an old style camera flash going off. It is quite blinding especially at night
