Climate Schedule not heating car

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I have a climate schedule on the phone, front and rear demisters, heated steering wheel, and seats all come on, but no cabin heat is supplied until I start the car. Any ideas? Played around with the temperature settings, but no difference.

I think that is how it is designed to work, mine does the same. I read somewhere that heating the seat and steering wheel was the most efficient way of keeping the driver warm and comfortable; saves the energy of heating a big empty space.

With a heavy frost, a 20 minute cycle defrosts the front door windows but not the rear door windows.

My 350h now stops the pre heat after 10 minutes - used to run for 20.  This is when it decides it wants to run.

Interestingly, whilst it may warm the car up it usually steams the windows as if the a/c is off.
