IS 220D , 2007, FRONT MPX BODY CONTROL UNIT 89211-53020

Good afternoon all

I've brought my first Lexus IS220D which I love it, but from yesterday headlight high beams, horns, windshield washer, front position lights and front fog lights stopped working

My thought is the control unit is faulty but I don't know how to tested

Can anyone please give me some directions?

I can tested myself but I don't want to buy another one until I'm 100% sure is the BCU

Hi Claudio and welcome to the LOC.

Have you checked fuse # 7 in the engine bay fuse box as it seems to effect most of the items you mention?

Unfortunately, it didn’t work, all fuses in order, I’ve even change the body control unit, with no luck. I cannot find any issues but the car cannot be driven as no windshield washer, no high beam an all other listed above. I was wondering if any other fuse that control the body control unit is blown as I’m not quite familiar with Lexus layout

have you checked for signs of rodents ? ... they can cause havoc in wiring looms

Anyone able to help on this one?

I had the car in my local garage, they've checked all fuses, test it , nothing came up

I don't know where to go from here. Car's driving like a dream, but no windscreen washer, no front day lights, no horn , no front fog lights and no front high beam lights

The low beam lights and turning signal lights are working perfectly

Please help, I'm desperate 🙏🙏🙏

This video might help, he does loads of great videos exclusively on Lexus/Toyota ... for this one, there is a good horn fault diagnosis towards the end... might give some clues if you are handy with a meter
