Underfloor Storage in Trunk

Recommended Posts

Heya, just a Lexus newbie looking for some information that I have tried so hard to find - but have not been successful.

I just bought my UX 250H F Sport Takumi E-4 - 2020 and noticed that I had the underfloor storage in the trunk that is just the cutouts unlike many other pictures posted on these forums. I would love to have the flat storage space so its actually a bit usable - is there a spare part I have to order to replace mine?

The third picture is kind of what I have in my car, whereas the first two are what I have seen on these forums.

Please do shed some light if you have any idea about this matter.

Hello,

if your UX is an AWD (4 wheel drive) you lose the underfloor storage space in the trunk, the third electric engine for the rear axel taxes away that space.

The repair tools for a flat tyre take away most of the space that remains.

The first and second pictures are of a two wheel drive UX.

Not true.  Mine is an AWD and I’ve got a styrene insert under the lower deck.

@duckzee, lift that insert out and show us underneath.

I'll send that in the morning. As far as I remember one of those pictures if from someone stating theirs is AWD - they were comparing how AWD has a slightly smaller area underfloor than FWD.

Worst case I'm thinking is to just cut out the compartments and make it into usable space.

No you didn’t, you said you don’t have any space with AWD.  Those photos are the old model.  All SZ needs is a deck board.  I’ll try and get a part number off mine.

Well it’s a bit late but here are the promised photos.

This is the deck with all the boards in place.

This is the part number on the back, it’s very hard to read and it’s no easier in the flesh. IMG_0492.thumb.jpeg.4c15a4d58a444599e9571ac219a4b57b.jpeg

On mine you can drop that a level.  Not sure about earlier models.

Take that out and there’s a thinner board.  It’s supported by the styrene insert.

and this is the part number (sorry you’ll have to flick it over!)

Take that out and you’ll see the styrene insert with spaces for gadgets.

To get that out you need to pop the right side panels out (dead easy) but then you can see why you can’t get a spacesaver under there on an AWD.  You might on a FWD but not a big one.

These are the deck boards out.

You can string the top one up while you rout underneath.
