im looking for a good in car tv antena ive bought and used the stick on screen type with no luck picture being crap

I wounder if there is a stubby magnetic type like a small phone antena reason being i saw one on a clio im sure it was a tv antena because the tv was on show on the dash and the wire leading to it

Nope, bosch fdo a flexi one which is 18 inches long, but does'nt really offer any better reception then the aerials you have.

Perhaps wait for the digital TV tuners which use smaller aerials or park up standing still, (old kitchien tv scenerio)

i've got the pioneer ones in mine.

work no problem, ok so its not digital quaility but there's no 'snow' effect coming through..................

still can't get channel 5 though

Do your current window aerial have self power ?

no power just antena with small jack plug

the tv used is monitor type with built in tv maybe the tuner in it is crap

Steve, I've got these on mine, gives me colour reception even on the move, also gives good reception while abroad aswell, only trouble is they are external mounted units, so oyu have to remove the aerials every time you leave the car.

Paul, I am not saying they are not any better, they are just not worth the extra for the mi-nute performance difference over the standard amplified ones you get in say the Kenwood kit, Alipne kit etc ..

I've been thinking about removing these and replacing with window mount ones, I may as well leave these as is if the reception is going to be about the same.

Please also ensure your tv in your tft screen is PAL I format...both audio and visual analog tv signal is PAL I in the UK for all incar TV tuners i seen
