Have a look at: http://www.commercialbreaksandbeats.co.uk, it's an excellent site for checking out what that music is on "that damn ad"

the details of the music/ad you're talking about is at:

A bit more digging suggests that Lou Reed sung it originally. I'm currently trying to get hold of either version.

Seen that site today and added it tom my bookmarks! Thats were I got the original info from. Don't know who's singing the new version, though.
