Another Problem- Speaker Vibration!

Hello all,

I am having one of those days....

I have taken my car into the Lexus dealer several times, as I have had a lot of little problems (nothing major thank ***)

Basically, when I listen to any music with some bass, I get this vibration noise from the rear passenger side speaker. It's as though perhaps the speaker wires are touching the vibrating speaker cone or some screw is loose or something. As you can imagine it is really annoying when listening to any music, and I have told lexus about this and they take a look at it and say they have sorted it out , and sometimes they say they couldn't find anything wrong! I have tried explaining this to them several times, but there seems to be some kind of miscommunication! Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an easy way of sorting it out as the dealer doesnt seem to know!

It's more likley to be a loose screw or fixing somewhere inside the door.  Take the door panel off and tighten everything up - also worth putting some Dynamat in there too - it will stop the sound bouncing around inside the door.

rear speaker

on an IS

is on the parcel shelf

good suggestion rod, but not sure it will help :D

soon have a look at where the problem may be by sticking your head in the boot

i had this a while ago - it does sound like something was loose but it actually wasnt - it turned out to be a loose earth wire in the rear of the radio connection - if it was loose u had a real strange sound - the same as vibration!

Mine sounds like the rear passenger side door area but it's actually the roof lining vibrating - you can hear the rattling from outside the car, need to get it sorted soon!

Did sound like the door though, found the source by accident one day....
