Too Much Oil

Ive checked the oil and it looks like my dealer (whos unfortunatly not local) has put too much oil in. Looks like they gauged the level by inserting the dipstick and checking, not by pushing it all the way in so its over the mark by half a centimeter or so.

Is it possible to drain a little or is it nothing to worry about.

Also, when the engine is ticking over I can hear just that, a ticking. Is that normal.

Thanks
