Lights On Auto Gear Selector?

Hi,

Just a question about the IS200 Automatic Gear Selector. On the right side by the Gear Selector it looks like if there are some small leds? They are close to the letters R and N. Is this true? With my car IS 200 SE W reg. The only lights I see indicating the Gear Selector position are on the dash board just right of the dail, Green and Red.

There are illuminated markers by the R & N positions. They just light up with the rest of the symbols when the lights are on but don't indicate anything.

Don't really know why they are there :huh:

This is on the 300, but I guess the 200 is similar :question:
