Muting For A Handsfree

I have an RX300 SE-L with the nice HiFi.

I currently have a Nokia handsfree but as the phone is terminally ill will be changing soon. The current handsfree doesn't mute the HiFi

I want a Bluetooth handsfree that mutes the HiFi and pumps the voice out of the HiFi in the same way as the Sat Nav does.

Anybody had this done?

You can get some cables ........... I can't remember the web site name now, I will have to update again .........

It basically plugs straight into your car kit .... then into the head unit - this then mutes the stereo ... and also feeds the sound via the speakers !

I have a Nokia 6230 phone that works a dream in my 300 SE-L - the dealer loaded it on to the system, and it mutes the hi-fi every time a call comes through. Sound via the loudspeakers. Won't upload the telephone book though - dealer said some software problems at the Lexus end which should be fixed in time.

May I suggest you contact Daltec Associates Ltd. 0208 8515 7820. They will be able to supply an interface lead to do the job.

Have a Parrot CK3100 blue tooth system in my current Subaru this is connected to the standard stereo ISO plugs, phone rings or I dial ou the radio/CD mutes sound from phone comes through front two speakers.

Use this with a Motorola V3 phone even have voice dialing. Got the unit from expansys.com on the web

OK - nobody does a cable!

I eventually had a Parrot CK3100 fitted and there is a mute - it is the grey wire!

I was advised that although they might be able to get the sound out of the system it would probably sound poor as it gets over-amplified. I trusted them and left a small extra speaker in.

Using the grey wire mute works well as it mutes the stereo but leaves the sat nav direction!
