IS250 V6 16 Valve Dual VVT :duh:

IS250d L4 24 Valve :duh:

The above spec was taken from Page 49 of the new LEXUS mag

Not sure how the above is going to work or perhaps the clever people at LEXUS do there engineering different to everybody else, 16/6=2.4 valve per cylinder :duh: and 24/4=6 valves per cylinder. No it still doesn't work.

One day LEXUS GB might get something right. Then again I don't think so from one really :tsktsk: off customer.

200bhp @ 6400rpm

184lb/ft @ 3800rpm

IS220d

2231cc L4 24 valve

174bhp @ 3600rpm

295lb/ft @ 2000-2600rpm

look at the torque figures for the diesel compared to the petrol :o  :huh:  :duh:

It does have a lot more torque, but diesels always annoy me in that the red line comes so early, so you never get to use all that power :angry:

Just change up earlier, and you will be rewarded (prob no more that 4000). 295 Lbf/Ft is a load of torque.
