Cam/oil Problems

i have noticed that my lex has got a 'cammy' noice now ive looked down the oil cam and could see two camlobes the tips look like inside trees (grain lines) and the were has gone down so i can see 2-3 lines. i do give the car some stick and rev quite a lot (not all the time thow) but had been told the engine was bullit proof and reving it wouldent harm it im hoping it not a oil supply problem as the oil light thake 2 seacond in a morning to go out (is this normal) any ideas?
