New Member Is300,auto Working Ok?

Hello people,I bought a 51 plate Platinum Silver IS300 last week,everything is fine except when in manual mode it will not select 1st gear even when at a standstill,why??

Tiptronic is the gear range eg the highest gear it will change up to, so when you select "2" it gives both 1st and 2nd. Boot it and you will get low and then it will change up to 2. That's how mine works anyway.

That's correct, you don't get the 1st Gear.

It stay @ [2]

However, it does start in 1st .......... then it just wont go further than 2.

Then you can go up through the gears ............... it won't let you change down a gear, for example ........

if your red lining 3rd gear ......... the e-shift won't let you select down to [2]

I use manual on twisty roads when scrathing, to use a bike term. If you use manual it won't change up when you brake going into a corner and is in the right gear to nail it out :D

Gib:- I leave mine in power mode all the time, i think it give the car a wee bit extra and I run with the gearbox in manual 75% of the time and only use auto while on the motorway :D
