Paint Keeps Chipping

The paint on my car keeps chipping, down to the metal. Everytime a little stone touches my car. I've got little black marks around my car now

I am thinking of taking my car back to the dealer, i just wanted to know if anybody else has had the same problem and how they resolved it?

It's a common problem with all new vehicles that use water based paints.

If the reason they use water based paints is for environmental issues then it doesn't really work because the car ends up getting re-sprayed within a few years and normally with oil based paints.

Have had exactly the same problem with my RX - lots and lots of stone chips on the bonnet, some are now going rusty!

After a lot of protesting they have now agreed to a respray of the bonnet.
