Just got my is200 se platinum 1999 40k miles flsh mint cond.

Best looking car on the road and cant help sneaking a look at it whenever i can.

I do have two annoying gremlins that i would appreciate any help that you kind people can offer>

1. the car suffers from cluch judder when pulling away from cold, to pull away sucsessfully you have to give the car a lot of revs which make me look like my grandmother performing a hill start in her fiesta, not good.

2. I love the ride quality and the quietness of the car whilst on the move. problem is the seat creeck of every small bump?

any help is greatly appreciated with this otherwise stunning car. ohh 29.3mpg knocks spots of my outgoing 325i

Hello!

I also have a 99SE (had it a month now) I was also initially concerned about clutch judder, and mine has had a new clutch, I found it was just a case of getting used to the amount of revs to give when pulling away...

After a week didn't notice it at all, enjoy your new motor :winky:

Are you sure its the seat and not the seat belt buckle which is a common problem :)

Resetting the won't wouldn't change anything.

Mine used to creak too, its generally the bolt where the seat belt fastener is on the left side of your seat. Squib some oil in there and work it in a little bit and it should be fine.

Possibly a new clutch needed, check out Prolex website for the Helix uprated one.

Here. I have the same clutch as this and it has a really nice feel, plus the fact I'll be going for a supercharger in 6 months, as soon as I hit 25.
