I'm in the market for some cats out of a mk1 147 model aristo. Also a lambda sensor. Anyone done a de-cat and has a set of cats I can rent off them to pass the MOT? Anyone know where I can get some cats and a lambda sensor cheaper than toyota?

Brian, i bought some parts from a chap down in Worthing, West Sussex last year:

If in doubt, make friends with your local MoT station, and problem solved :)

I know but it'll be the first time he see's the car and I need to know that the high hydrocarbons are just down to the cats and not a thrown or sticky valve, air leak on the induction side or anything else more sinister causing the problem. With my supe the guy is OK as long as I can provide him with a set of cats that he could say he had fitted to pass the test and then removed them on my instruction.
