I bought my IS 200 SE in April 2001. As it was from I dealer it was giving an RAC inspection, which it passed.

This summer I noticed some paint peeling around the front grille area. I toook it to another dealer for inspection. They said it wasn't a manufacturing defect and is most likely to poor workmanship when removing masking tape.

In that case RAC should've picked it up. My concern is that as it happened so long ago, if I approach RAC will they say that I should've raised it earlier?

Has anyone had any similar experiences with RAC inspections i.e. something being passed when in fact there was a defect? How did you approach them and what was the result?hlewis@globalnet.co.uk
