Temperature, Clock Indicators

I have a 1993 LS-400. The temperature and clock indicators are so "fuzzy" and blackened that I can no longer read them. This problem began some time back, but the indicators would get clear after the engine warmed up. Not anymore--I can't read them at all.

Has anyone had this problem--know the solution?

Most of the threads seem to be about the dashboard lights. It sounds as if the LCD have broken down and I suspect replacement is the only answer.

try getting in touch with jimlwalker@sbcglobal.net this is a common problem on 90-94. my car has the same problem.

You should check with Jim Walker. Look on the USA forum for more details. He is having replacements manufactured and I think he said they'll be about $159 each. Sorry I can't convert to lbs. I usually hang on the USA 400/430 forums but checked in here to see if there was much different information.
