I need a master key. Does this look ok to all and is the price any good?

ooooh d :tsktsk: n it! Thats it tomorrow i will go to Lexus Woodford and just give them however much they demand to get myself a master key sorted out. i cant keep walking around with just the one valet key as i loose things way too often.

From what I understand, and from trouble I've had with an Alfa i've got you wont be able to get another master key- end of story.

You should be able to get the 3 button key thought, but you will need to get it coded so that the lock/unlock function works- this will probably need to be done at Lexus.

If you just want another basic key (no function) then I'm sure your local key cutting place can do it- they have a machine that reads the transponder and puts the code into the fresh key.

As I said, I have an Alfa with the same problem- no master key- it used to be a problem because you needed the master key to code the new key- this obviously isnt a problem now you can get key cutting places to do it for you.

Also, you may get told at the dealer that you will need new code boxes, ecu etc. This isnt the case, because the ecu can be wiped to virgin status so new keys (master+spares (along with locks)) can be used off a scrapper.

I phoned this company... http://www.lostcarkeys.co.uk/ and they said they will sort me out one remote OEM lexus master key and one non remote OEM Lexus master key seen as I have a valet key already. This would mean i would have the full complete of keys i should have for IS200.
