nothing is wrong with oem peter. Its down to individual choice. I am going the s/c route so i need better braking and i like the look of the drilled/grooved discs behind the olloys especially with the painted lexus calipers.

Have you thought about fitting the bits yourself? Should not be that difficult to be honest....

I've got a full set of Mintex discs & pads coming this week (£240 inc vat and delivered from http://stores.ebay.co.uk/E-BLADES-AND-BRAKES) and I intend fitting them myself. Are there any online guides to doing this or can anyone advise whether there anything in particular to watch out for? For example torque settings or anything extra I am going to need to buy before I start, or anything just out of the ordinary?

B)

Cheers

Brilliant, thanks. I don't suppose there's any similar guides for the discs, which is the part that worries me more to be honest..? :whistling:

Just remove old discs then put new discs on :D

You will have to remove a few more bolts that retain the calipers, leave the brake line on... i used a shoe lace to hang the calipers so that there wasn't any tension on the brake line.....

Back ones ...... remember to release the handbrake!

Are they just a push fit then, not attached to the hubs with strange oriental nuts or anything? :D

Wasn't any strange nuts on mine ... only very tight ones on the calipers...soak them well with wd40

Old discs will probably not just slide off either..... got a rubber mallet?
